XML Export for translation

Step 1: Copy metadata

In /en-gb/admin

1. Copy en-gb Title to other languages with language in brackets - (DE/FR/IT etc.)
2. Copy en-gb Summary to other languages
3. Assign Author(s) as per en-gb

Note: You need to Save and continue editing before switching between the language tabs otherwise the content will be lost.

Step 2: Copy content

Switch to front end editing and: for each language:

Add translation

Switch to the translated version and Copy all plugins from British English

Step 3: Export XML files

In the back end, use the got to /admin for the language you want to export.  you can do this by changing the URL to /de/admin, /fr/admin etc.

Select the checkbox for the article(s) you want to export (You can export multiple articles into one XML file but some translation providers will require each article in it's own file):

Choose `Export selected articles` from the drop-down list and click `Go`. Save the files to your hard drive/network using the Article title appended with the language code:

Send to the translation company.
